I adore their relationship. They respect each other so much. They’re both consummate leaders of their people, excellent at making difficult decisions, brave and fearless. They understand each other. They would rule together side by side *so well* if they needed to (oh man now I have a fic idea for, like, an arranged marriage between Madi and Flint which is just for appearances and the purposes of ruling while Flint has Thomas and Madi has silver, who are also their “counselors”)
