The Slayers.

You had to tie me up to beat me. There’s a word for people like you, Faith: loser.

(Yeah, Buffy, but she’s a pretty loser, isn’t she? I present to you, tumblr, the world’s loveliest vampire slayers, light & dark.

This took me so long, and I’m very happy with the result. If I can keep myself into it I hope to do a drawing like this of the entire cast.)

Consider:

  • Victorian England: 1867-1901
  • American Old West: 1803-1912
  • Meiji Restoration: 1868-1912
  • French privateering in the Gulf of Mexico: ended circa 1830

Conclusion: an adventuring party consisting of a Victorian gentleman thief, an Old West gunslinger, a disgraced former samurai, and an elderly French pirate is actually 100% historically plausible.

It really just comes down to whether a given individual or group is looking for reasons to include, or reasons to exclude. Hypothetical groups like these can go a lot further than this, too.

OK I WANT THIS REALLY BAD SO I MADE THIS REALLY QUICK

“Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get grey. And it doesn’t matter how much white you try and put back in, you’re never gonna get anything but grey.”

So a couple of hours ago I thought I could either:

a) go to bed at a reasonable time, or

b) draw Lilah Morgan

I put her in grey because the above is my favourite Lilah quote (so far at least). She has blood on her hands because…well, she has blood on her hands, being evil and all. It’s A METAPHOR. SHEESH. OBVIOUSLY.

Look,it’s very late where I am right now.
