9. Prophecy Girl (1×12)

Piled up some roughs I’d managed to scratch during these past few weeks x‿x;;;
“A meeting with Death”, Inktober day 17.
The promt was “battle” but I wasn’t really thinking about it when painting this. At first it was just the thought of the contrast between the two figures (size difference and light shirt vs engulfing darkness). Then randomly wiping the wet ink for some dynamic moves. It started to look like a scythe and after a while, a back of a skull, so I continued it that way. The paper was really warped when I took the picture and then made a few fixes in photoshop (2nd pic). I also tested some filters for a more dramatic feeling (1st pic).
“Battle” actually fits this mood quite well in the end, though. More Black Sails doodles here (x).
