You can imagine the restraint it took for me not to let my people loose. But where does that leave us? So I will fight this thing rising up in me eager to see more blood spilled today, and I will serve them by minding their future and doing the hard thing that will lead to the outcome desired by all of us.
It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we’d know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow, empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion… we’d be truly dead.
